We have experience working with local development teams in other markets along the Eastern seaboard. We teamed with Bell View Partners in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to develop and manage a 135 key Aloft hotel directly across from the iconic NC State University Bell Tower. Situated on 1.3 acres along Hillsborough Street, the 7-story hotel began construction in Spring 2014 and opened to guests on October 26th, 2015.
The hotel design acknowledges its unique location at the main entrance to the campus and proximity to downtown Raleigh. One side of the hotel features a brick façade inspired by the NC State campus, while the other side makes use of glass and steel to create a more modern look. Joining the two together is a 55' art sculpture created by renowned Raleigh artist, Thomas Sayre.
Hotel amenities include over 6,000 SF of retail on Hillsborough Street, an outdoor public space that extends off the second floor lobby, the Aloft wxyz bar, an outdoor pool, fitness center, over 1,200 SF of function space, and a two level parking deck. The hotel will fill visitor demand, benefit nearby businesses, and make Hillsborough Street a destination for the greater community.
