A 364-lot planned single-family project to be developed in three-five phases. The entire site was rezoned and has been approved for residential housing on lots ranging in size from 6,250 to 17,700 square feet. The primarily wood site has gentle rolling terrain and includes a 15-acre lake with beach within the development. The property is located on the north side of the Town of Strasburg and the entire site fronts on 2,200 feet of Route 11. The project is ¾ of a mile southeast of the US-11 and I-81 interchange, just west of I-66.
Strasburg is a historic town and was founded in 1761 by Peter Stover. Known for its antiques and Civil War history, it is located in north-central Shenandoah County at the northern end of the Shenandoah Valley. Shenandoah County is located south of the City of Winchester and west of Front Royal. It is the largest of the six communities in the county and is located approximately 81 miles west of Washington, DC. At just under a 1½ hour drive from the city via I-66, the community has seen an increase in population over the past five years, a trend expected to continue in the future. Just 2 miles south of the I-81/I-66 interchange the town had great access to an interchange. As of the 2010 Census, the County had a population of over 41,000 residents. Estimates are that the population increased about 1.6% in 2013 compared to an overall growth of an estimated 3.1% in Virginia as a whole.
